My CD DRIVE has suddenly vanished? How come? It was all working fine till yesterday.?

My CD DRIVE (G drive) has vanished all of a sudden. I tried online help – I learnt that this sometimes happens when a third-party program is uninstalled. I did uninstall YAHOO! MUSIC search engine, after which I have not been able to see my CD drive again. On clicking MY COMPUTER, I don’t see that disc-shaped CD drive. What on earth do I do?

Try this:
Right click “My Computer”, Click “Properties”, Click “Hardware”, Click “Device manager”,Click “DVD/CD ROM Drive”, Right click “your CD ROM device”,ENABLE it if it has been disabled.
