Music composers of the latest generation are no longer limited to just a keyboard, mixer, or specialty synthesizer to compose. The next step is to identify your goals. If you have a two input soundcard and want to record the whole band where everyone has a track,. as a music composer you may think it is not possible. You go ahead and invest in a twenty-four track mixer only to realize that it too has only two inputs only.
The point is to simply observe what you are paying for and know your gears well. You may have a keyboard with a sampler in-built. Be aware of the features that your gears have.
